I really enjoyed this book. I am an open minded individual who likes to consider ALL of the options. Also, a great book for anyone who enjoys learning about history. Fascinating stuff.Sitchin provides an interesting bibliography at the end of the book for anyone wanting to dig around the library or internet too.
Of course this is a challenging book because it is prohetic in nature. Sitchin, you will find a deep difference between the ideologies and sources. And prophecies interest people. Now, if you compare the books of Maximillien de Lafayette on the Anunnaki (he wrote more than 30 books on the Anunnaki) and the great work of Z. However, they converge on one fundamental issue, which is the origin of man. Sitchin is a novelist, Lafayette is a mystic Ulema. It is the same difference you find between an agnostic and a sufist.
This second book provides an interesting and insighted view on humankind's pursuit for imortality. Mixing history, archaeology and religion it creates a compelling read for anyone, religious or not. Sitchin brings together biblical stories, ancient texts and other archaeological discoveries to draw parallels between all early civilizations and their quest to live forever.
The history of Earth in our currently accepted paradigm is very problematic and not really credible. The arguments are more than convincing, and the drawings, geometric measurements and descriptions of these places - Giza, Heliopolis, Mt.
Sitchin, as in Book I, compares and contrasts archaeological findings, the Bible, writings of historians throughout the ages and mythology to formulate his conclusions. This book primarily covers man's quest to achieve immortality from the "gods".
The evidence seems to point to a spaceport where the "gods" travelled from earth to the heavens. It is hard to believe as coincidence that every civilization in every age had the identical tale to the Sumerican king, Gilgamesh.
And where did Gilgamesh's journey take him to speak to the "gods". Ararat - are hard to ignore.
Sitchin certainly got my attention with the Earth Chronicle series.
I am very pleased with my order. The book was in excellent condition and was swiftly delivered.Thanks.
